The LAMP The Lamp
LAMPlatoon is The LAMP's online video project where participants can remix existing commercials with their own thoughts and criticisms about the ad. "The LAMPlatoon Wants YOU!" is a step-by-step guide which educators can use for creating these 'broken commercials' and exploring basic advertising literacy concepts with students. There are no costs to the educator with LAMPlatoon, and LAMP staff are available as additional support along the way.

My Pop Studio, a website designed by the Media Education Lab at Temple University, is a free online game that introduces children ages 9 - 14 to digital and media literacy, taking them "behind the scenes" to think critically about how media is created and to question the messages we see. Activities and games include creating a unique pop star and pop song, editing a television show, designing a comic strip, and determining their ability to multitask in a game of memory and attention. Lesson plans and activities accompany the website and are available as free downloads to enhance the digital learning experience.
